Tara Simmons @ Brisbane Powerhouse
On Sunday, as part of the Live Spark event, the Brisbane Powerhouse had the privilege to have Tara and band play a wonderful performance.
The crowd was generous, the atmosphere was relaxing. What a great way to spend an afternoon!

Whilst I’m in the mood for panoramas, I thought I had better post this one.
Taken at the launch of the refurbished Brisbane Powerhouse, and also the opening of World Press Photo 07.
The band playing on the right are Doch, a talented local group of musicians who make some wonderful Balkan gypsy rhythms.

One of todays jobs was to take some pics of a coffee shop in the city. So, I took a few pics, then stitched them together.
The guys make a tasty lunch and a very good java fix.

(The image probably wont fit in your browser at full size, if this is the case get a new monitor! I’m preparing for new 24 inch iMac!)

I’ve got some big plans for a shoot here. Stay tuned.
I took a few pre shots last week. I asked nicely and got permission too!

I headed out to Ric’s again last night to see Clare Whiting and Jacob Diefenbach play a set. I missed out on seeing most of clare’s set and thought this time I’ll just listen and enjoy. So unfortunatly this time there are no photos of her. The added candles made for a nice comfy setting, especially with the good rain bucketing down outside. More to come…

A panorama of Ric’s with Jacob and sound techies.
Story Bridge
I stopped to take a pic of the bridge on the way home from work. Brisbane had been covered in a haze of bushfire smoke giving off a magnificent warm glow. I’ve done a pano of this before, this time I made sure I didn’t over expose anything. All done without the aid of my trusty tripod. (And stitched with Photoshop CS3)
