A studio shot taken before heading out to the Comedy Club for Adam’s Bucks night. We had Ed’s camera for the rest of the night, so all the incriminating evidence isn’t with me.

I visited Sydney over the weekend. Traveling down last Thursday night with my girlfriend, Tara who was performing on the Friday night. We stayed at her parents place out the back of Sydney in a place called Castlereigh. Thankyou Julie and Neville for you kind hospitality : ) I also caught up with Dan and Anita which was nice.
Some photos yet to come. Whilst I’m on the topic of Sydney, I thought I’d post this from my last trip there back in July. (I thought I had lost these photos, but after doing a recover on my CF cards, I found most of them.)

Self-portrait (taken from my camera resting on a wall which is out of frame.)

Over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, a big group of friends and I travel out past Rathdowney for a weekend of camping and shenanigans! This year we camped at Flanagan’s Reserve (map), only because last year at Bigriggen we had been mistaken for hooligans (read more about it here) and were told it would have been best if we found a new camp gorund.
A good weekend was had by all. All up 12 people showed up despite the cold weather. No serious injuries to report. Only a flat tyre. This year a few new faces show up including Chad, check out his top star trail shot.
I hope to have some pics uploaded in my photo gallery soon. Until then I’ll post some boring arty shots.

On the weekend, Dan (Cooper), Brian and I moved into our new place. It’s a cute little 3 bedroom house which has a few spare ‘utility’ rooms under. A fireplace that doesn’t work (mostly because they don’t want people burning the place down). Good size bedrooms. A pucky cupboard. It’s about 3 mins to work for me (according to google.com/maps). Still sorting through stuff and setteling in, hopefully that won’t be too much of a mission. It’s good to be home!

2 comments50mm f/1.4D AF Nikkor
Mmm, it looks like Christmas might come early for me this year. I had decided that I’d spend some money and get another lens. I set out researching on the net about the Nikkor f1.8/1.4 and a 1.2. I’d love to get a f1.2 but that’s way out of my budget. The f1.4 is about $520 new and the f1.8 is roughly $220ish. I want a faster lens for band and portrait stuff. Tonight I finally won my ebay bid and hopefully I’ll be playing with my new toy before Christmas. Yes I know it’s plastic and newer, but the older metal models are just a bit too much of a gamble when it comes to ebay.

I’m uploading this just for people to see the ‘after’ shot of the CSR building. I’ve entered the ‘before’ shot in a Canon competition. I’d love a new digital camera, or the holiday. Visit http://canon.com.au/findyourshot and vote for me!
